Dot NAME Domain Names

Started in 2001, the .NAME extension is the only one planned for personal websites only. These domain names can be personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other titles people are famous by. At first, only 3rd-level registrations were allowed, so if you desired to register john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was loosened and second-level registrations were also permitted. Existing 3rd-level domain names remained active.

Through our firm, you can buy your .NAME domain for an interval between 1 and 10 years. You will have the opportunity to update the WHOIS contacts, to park your domain, to set up Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already purchased domain to our firm if you receive its EPP transfer key from the present registration provider and we will renew it once the transfer has been done. There are no particular rules on who can register a dot NAME domain name, but in order to maintain the concept behind its creation alive, the Registry organization may verify who the Registrant is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration might be challenged.
